My expertise spans across risk management, cloud security, and vulnerability management where I've focused on creating strong security architectures protecting sensitive data while fostering business growth.I started my tech career as a Help Desk Analyst getting exposure to small/medium businesses operations and learning the foundations of security from a technical perspective. I dug in, getting my hands dirty building and maintaining data centers and networks, advancing my skills and validating my knowledge with industry certifications from CompTIA and ISC2. This allowed me to advance my career through promotions and opportunities at companies of varying sizes. I expanded my skill set to cloud infrastructure and cloud security when I got to enterprise/Fortune 500 level corporations like Deloitte and Republic Services. This marked my first in-depth exposure to risk and compliance from the perspective of both internal compliance and serving customers. I successfully led PCI-DSS compliance audits from preparation through compliance certification and attestation. My skills and knowledge with risk assessment and management saw their first major challenge, and leap in my abilities, when I built from scratch Cyber Security M&A Due Diligence Framework and Compromise Assessment processes.I thrive in environments that challenge me to use my skills in risk and compliance, vulnerability assessment, my technical knowledge of building and applying security controls, and my problem solving skills to put it all together fitting all of the puzzle pieces in place to create a robust Information Security Management Program.At Eden Data, I've taken the opportunity to expand my knowledge and skills in the compliance arena leading my clients to meet and surpass their compliance objectives with clean audits for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 and have driven them towards best practices and more mature security postures.
