For fifteen years, I was professionally immersed in the world of human-animal interaction. The things I learned about animals inspired me to pull out my camera and try to freeze-frame their unique personalities, the intelligence in their eyes, and the relationships they shared with humans. This kind of work always made me feel like I was doing something that mattered.Then my life took a turn that I count as providential. I was blessed to be able to attend a photography workshop presented by Peter Hurley, one of the most influential headshot photographers of the past couple decades. He taught me three things that inspired me to start taking pictures of humans that make a diffence:1. Everyone can look a lot better than they think they can. Through lighting, positioning and coaching, I will absolutely help you look your best. Just relax ... I gotcha.2. When people see how good they can look, it changes something within them. Their confidence rises a little, and they leave the shoot with a little better appreciation of themselves. I find that very fulfilling.3. Like it or not, a person's first (and likely most important) impression of you comes from looking into your face (see the first paragraph of this page).
