An architect with an Honors Degree in Architecture from IIT Kharagpur. Founder director of a global design studio that specializes in furniture and fashion design. My latest building, The Crystal Hall has won several national and international awards and features.It has been commended for having the world’s first residential windmill towers, its Environment first design, zero-waste policy & socially responsible architecture, reviving indigenous building skills.Inspired by the architecture of Louis Kahn specifically IIM Bangalore, the Crystal Hall is a prime example of Paleomodern architecture which marries classicism and modernism. Born outside India, I am a global architect or as they say a ‘glocal’ architect, (global + local). An international associate of the American Institute of Architects, I also run IDeA World Design School in Bangalore which is among the oldest private run design institutes in India, having educated over around 9000 students in the last few decades. The college has won the Best Design Education Award from Business Times.My furniture collection, The Transformer Collection was exhibited at the Architectural Digest Design Show last year and was also featured on Award winning US Television channel, NewsWatch. My design house that I have built, has been featured on the press and media across the world including in NBC, International Business Times, The Morning Star etc in USA, Vietnam, Australia, China, and South Africa. An architect with a social conscience which has led me to specifically seek out and employ indigenous people of color and the poorest sections of the society.
