Localization Project Manager • Member of global ‘round-the-clock’ project management team for Elanex’s expressIt service, Elanex’s highly automated workflow manager for professional human translation• Daily oversight of dozens of concurrent live projects, quickly handling project problems as they arise to keep fast-turnaround projects on schedule• Management and support of independent contractor linguists, resolving questions and problems, reassigning tasks when needed• Familiarity with CAT tools such as ETM (Elanex in-house Translation Manager), SDL WorldServer, etc.Document Manager / Technical Analyst • Quote prep for incoming translation requests in Elanex’s Americas region • Technical analysis of client files sets including docx, pptx, xlsx, indd, ai, ps, xml, html, xlf, js, etc.• Collaborate with sales team to diagnose client needs • Communicate with outside service providers (voiceover, transcription agencies, etc.) to determine costs and set pricing for customized client services• Multimedia localization including Voiceover, subtitling, etc.• Machine translation (MT) – research and testing of various third-party MT systems, assessment of output quality and technical feasibility• Preparation of post-project translation memory alignments for translation management system. Linguistic checking for some languages, management of qualified linguists for other languages.Account Supervisor/Sales• Manage ongoing relationships with North America based clients — order taking, job setup, client communication, quality assurance and follow up to ensure client satisfactionOther responsibilities • Accounts receivable follow-up – direct contact with late-paying clients, successfully improved Elanex’s invoice aging and cash flow
