Global Validation Technical Integration Engineer
Detroit, Michigan, Us
▪ Provided leadership to streamline power electronics analysis, development, and validation activities as a global consultant for all hybrid power electronics electrical, mechanical, and environmental Quality, Reliability, and Durability requirements.▪ Trained new engineers while following programs from sourcing through validation sign-off and vehicle integration.▪ Established coherence between analytical durability cycles and customer use data in the context of vehicle level Proving Ground durability measurements and accumulated damage models. Applied results to generate standard hybrid power electronics durability sequences that allow for risk analysis, design tolerance comprehension, and accelerated operation sequences substantiated with quantifiable statistical rigor. Leverage learnings across all elements of Validation Cross Reference Index (VCRI).▪ Leveraged opportunities to incorporate DfR (Design for Reliability) framework -- such as Rapid Failure Mode Precipitation testing, Sherlock analysis, and enhanced validation toolbox -- to reduce time between design turns, optimize use of capital resources, satisfy program timing constraints, and minimize disruptions due to manufacturing process changes and part substitutions.▪ Fostered an environment of cooperation toward common goal of delivering on time product execution with no launch issues by: 1) maintaining/improving relationships with existing supplier validation community, 2) building rapport with prospective suppliers through comprehensive pre-sourcing validation support, 3) educating vertical teams as necessary with respect to DfR concepts, 4) increasing synergy with broader GM validation community, 5) mentoring new employees in mediating supplier concerns.
