I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Construction Engineering from the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology. After my studies I have worked continuously in the field of construction. In fact, I worked with a local construction company for five years as a technical project manager on a number of construction sites and I also worked as a quantity surveyor within the same company. The tasks I was involved in were rather vast extending from the preliminary tendering period of the project up until completion. The projects I was involved in included blocks of apartments (6 to 120 unites), villas, pump stations, elderly home complex, warehouses amongst many others.Working on such a vast area of construction enabled me to acquire various skills in this field such as planning costs and time management, preparing estimates, site inspection and auditing of works in order to finish the project within the planned budget. I was also involved in assessing the quality of the material and inspecting whether the workforce is keeping up with the standards required.
