Responsible for client interaction and development/execution of successful and innovative political and communications strategies. During my time leading the Southeast, Mid Atlantic, and Northeast US operations, we more than doubled the size of client engagements and revenue in the region while delivering superior results for the clients. I was fortunate to manage campaign teams in more than twenty states across multiple industry sectors, including: commercial and industrial development, healthcare and hospitals, single and multi-family housing, gaming, master-planned communities and energy production. I managed the firm's operations on the east coast and offices in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington and Tampa as well as led business development and client satisfaction in the health care and capital markets sectors.

The Boston Redevelopment Authority is the City of Boston's planning and zoning agency. Served as the city's Director of Brownfields Redevelopment while managing development projects in need of environmental remediation. Assisted developers with public funding through city, state and federal resources, including US Housing and Urban Development Block Grants, BEDI grants, US Department of Environmental Protection Brownfields loans and Massachusetts Brownfields Loan Program funds. As Deputy Director of Industrial Development assisted in the development of the city's Backstreets program, managed development projects in the Marine Industrial Park and co-managed the redevelopment of Dudley Square. Co-led the city's successful effort to obtain an $8M federal grant to redevelop a blighted block in Roxbury for the development of a new headquarters for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Oversaw legislative and political initiatives for the Chairman of the Taxation and Criminal Justice Committees. Led a staff of eight committee and legislative professionals on matters such as electric utility restructuring, brownfields reform, corporate taxation and economic development. As an advisor to the state representative, helped lead a team of real estate industry professionals in the drafting and passage of a landmark brownfields redevelopment law which created new incentives for cleanup and reuse of contaminated industrial properties. Tom was also involved in the legislative development and passage of the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust Fund through the work of the electric utility restructuring committee.

Served as the field and communications director for then- Norfolk County (MA) District Attorney Bill Delahunt during the 1996 Democratic primary for the MA-10th Congressional District.

Developed and managed the public outreach and community organizing efforts for the 1994 Democratic candidate for Governor in Massachusetts. Led a statewide organizing effort that resulted in a 2-1 margin of victory at the state convention and in the Democratic primary.
