Serve as the Project Manager for the Vacuum Pressure Integrated Suit Test (VPIST). In this capacity, I was responsible for leading and managing the VPIST team, approximately 20 civil servants and contractors, as well as the team’s funding and schedule. Duties included:- Developing and Managing the VPIST-2 Project budget (~1M) annually over two fiscal years.- Providing technical authority for the planning, design, development, and integration of a complex human-in-the-loop test at reduced atmospheric pressures with 100% oxygen breathing gas. - Developing and reviewing the VPIST-2 Test Requirements and Test Plan documentation. - Managing and providing technical direction to the VPIST Safety Engineer in all phases of the risk assessment and test safety process.

Serve as the Project Manager for the Phase Change Heat Exchanger (PCHX) Payload Project. In this capacity, I was responsible for leading and managing the PCHX team, approximately 10 civil servants and contractors, as well as the team’s funding and schedule. Duties included:- Developing and Managing the PCHX Project budget and schedule of roughly 3M over 3 Fiscal Years (FYs). - Providing technical authority for the design of an EXPRESS Rack Double Locker Payload containing three fluid loops, two water loops and one Propylene Glycol/Water (PGW) loop, as well as a wax Phase Change Material (PCM) HX. - Leading the day-to-day activities of the PCHX Team which includes mechanical, electrical, software/avionics, thermal, system integration, and safety disciplines and requires an understanding of these concepts.

Serve as the Flight Project Manager for the Robonaut 2 (R2) Project. In this capacity, I was responsible for leading and managing the R2 Flight Team, 12 civil servants and contractors at its largest size, as well as the team’s funding and schedule. Duties included:- Leading the day-to-day activities of the R2 Flight Team which includes mechanical, electrical, software, operations, thermal, system integration, safety, and softgoods disciplines and requires an understanding of these concepts.- Providing technical authority to the R2 mechanical and electrical lead designers to ensure the R2 Climbing Leg Assembly was designed to be compatible with the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) environment. - Working with the R2 Battery Backpack team on development of requirements and battery management design for a 300 cell Lithium Ion Battery. Understanding Lithium Ion batteries and the applicable requirements and testing standards is required for the development of this hardware.- Providing technical authority to the R2 designers developing the EVA Robonaut to account for the thermal, radiation, Atomic Oxygen/Ultraviolet (AO/UV) and MMOD aspects of the EVA environment.
