My current role is that of Marketing Campaign Manager for Think Alumni.My aim is to help build rich, mutually beneficial communities between colleges and their former students, offering services and opportunities to their alumni.The knowledge pool within alumni communities is vast and by building these communities and by getting former students engaged and back in touch with the College we are able to deliver a great host of benefits to the network. Career advice, work experience and access to college facilities and resources are all made possible by the networks. The colleges are able to offer these opportunities back to their former students and those willing to get involved are able to give something back as well. With volunteering opportunities, alumni are able to help by; offering work placements, talking to students and sharing their experience, checking CVs and helping to make the college learning experience more valuable for current students. All of this combined helps to strengthen the communities and make them something that is very rewarding to be a part of.
