The incumbent leads diverseoperational planning teams (OPT) of varied sizes incorporating internal and external experts andstakeholders to solve complex problems as directed by the Commander or as the mission dictates.The incumbent leads planning teams to answer detailed questions or recommend commandfeedback on Joint Staff, service, and combatant command policies, strategies, and plans. Theincumbent expertly applies the military decision-making process to promote the accomplishment ofUSASMDC’s mission and achievement of the Commander’s priorities and vision.
