Dr. Thomas An is an interventional radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical interests include portal venous interventions, transplant interventions, and management of complicated pancreatitis. He majored in molecular biology at Princeton University, where he graduated with honors. He attended Vanderbilt University for medical school on a full-tuition merit scholarship, where he graduated as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed an integrated interventional and diagnostic radiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he served as chief resident before joining the Interventional Radiology faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. An has published multiple research papers and book chapters, with a focus on the safety and effectiveness of interventional radiology procedures to treat cancer, portal hypertension, and vascular pathologies.
