About Thomas André Szabó
After his family's escape from totalitarian Romania Thomas grew up in the rural Black Forest region. He learned his craft as an assistant editor and VFX coordinator for cinema films and earned his degree in feature film directing and screenwriting at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. In 2008 he co-founded némata GmbH, an award winning agency for web technology, branded content and digital marketing. In 2017, Thomas wins the RTL Startup Prize and gets nominated for prestigious Grimme Award with his work as a creative producer for UFA. As writer and director he works for Arte, ARD, audible, VOX, RTL and Sky Studios as well as a script consultant for HBO-Europe.
