In this role I oversaw 5 division leaders with a total staff of over 20 team members. Each division was in charge of the health and production of the animal projects they were assigned.The Director of Animals is responsible for overseeing the procurement and production of healthy, captive bred animals for sale by Josh’s Frogs. They are also responsible for overseeing and growing the revenue and efficiency of the Animal Department through the expansion of current projects, and the creation and execution of new projects and revenue sources. They will work closely with the Vice President of Live Operations to identify opportunities for growth, and will then take those plans and execute them. The Director of Animals is also responsible for leading, managing, and holding their direct reports accountable, as well as ensure that accurate, helpful support information pertaining to Animal Department products is available to customers. In this seat I wrote the financial tracking and guidance information system for the animal department, insect department and plant department. This was used to predict production goals and show the financial state of each division on a weekly basis down to the individual product's performance and profitability. I also wrote and maintained the data collection and interpretation tools used by the animal department to determine the health of each project.
