I joined the ‘Gold standard’ Covid-19 Infection Survey in October 2022 as a Logistical Operations Specialist. I quickly learned the skills required such as attention to detail, planning, scheduling and being organised to become an effective member of my team. Within this role I was responsible for looking at the data of covid-19 kits being sent out to participants and the future testing windows opening/closing. I also deployed the respective participant communications using a third party system. I Managed service levels using call volume data and optimising breaks and lunches for over 170 call agents at any given time. Checking participant addresses were correct and up to date in our data base, keeping track of data using Excel. I also created working instructions for both the Logistical side and Resource Planning sides which sit alongside the standard operating procedures. I am also the first UK intern to have completed their internship project at IQVIA.
