I study the process and compositional impacts on the mechanical and corrosion performance of novel lightweight Magnesium alloys via physical evaluation and computer-based modeling via the Calculation of PHase Diagrams (CALPHAD) method and constitutive modeling. I have worked on developing new patented alloys and processes, scaling up processes from lab scale to production scale, and communicating results to project organizers and the wider community. I am currently finishing the requirements to receive my Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University.I am passionate about the study of Materials Science because our technological development is not limited by the ideas in our heads but by the materials we have available.
