About Thomas Bancroft

My photographic art and writing strive to stimulate people’s senses and build the wonder that is so important to expanding the love of the natural world. My goal is to help people recognize things that they might not otherwise notice as they walk through a natural area. My hope is that my work will help people develop or expand their visceral connection to wild country, what it contains, why these things are valuable to humans whether they visit wild areas or not, and what needs to happen in the next century to protect these values. Through most of my career, I have worked in conservation at the interface between science and policy. Now I am focused on art, both photographic and literary.Specialties: Organizational Leadership & Team Building, Strategic Big Picture Thinking, Conservation Campaign Planning, Media Spokesperson, Project Management, Broad Conservation Knowledge, Change Management, Fund Raising
