First Year Master'S Degree InternshipFrench Alternative Energies And Atomic Energy Commission May 2019 - Aug 2019Marcoule Institute For Separation ChemistrySynthesis, sintering and study of the chemical durability of mixed oxides (U,Ce)O2 presenting a heterogeneous cationic distribution.References : Dr. Laurent CLAPAREDE et Dr. Nicolas CLAVIERMixed oxides U1-xCexO2±x were prepared by powder metallurgy by simulating the MIMAS process (Micronized Masterblend, a process currently used for the manufacture of the french (U,Pu)O2 MOx fuel). The obtained model compounds were then characterized (XRD, BET, SEM, pycnometry...) and shaped by pelletizing. SEM-EDX maps were in particular carried out on the pellets in order to demonstrate the heterogeneous nature of the cationic distribution. The sintering parameters were studied by dilatometry in order to subsequently sinter the pellets. Finally, tests for dissolving the sintered pellets were performed in a nitric medium to study the chemical durability of these model compounds. -
Projet TuteuréLicence 3 2017 - 2018Université MontpellierEtude bibliographique puis expérimentale portant sur le sujet des "Metal Organic Frameworks" (MOFs) ou réseaux métallo-organiques, matériaux à très haute surface spécifique. Les MOFs sont des matériaux nanoporeux cristallins constitués d'ions métalliques reliés entre eux par l'intermédiaire de groupes organiques. Ils présentent notamment une surface spécifique (>>1000 m²/g) très élevée du fait de leur structure nanoporeuse. Ces structures spongieuses légères présentent une stabilité thermique, mécanique et chimique élevée tout en étant peu ou pas toxique. De nombreuses voies de synthèse ont été développées, et c’est ce qui a été étudié dans le cadre de la recherche bibliographique.Expérimentalement, les voies de synthèses solvothermales et assistées par micro-ondes ont été mise en place afin de synthétiser puis caractériser du Zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-8). Le produit a finalement été testé lors d'une application en tant que filtre à microparticules.Référence : Pr. Umit B. Demirci
