Our Mission:To guide and support state agencies in developing and implementing effective energy management strategies to improve state facilities’ overall energy performanceThe State Energy Manager is responsible for administering a statewide energy management program for all state facilities. Establish a new division within the Planning Department to oversee all aspects of Sustainability. Tasked with developing and implementing the Energy Plan for the City of Amesbury. Work with municipal and local leaders to identify, organize, and fund energy efficiency efforts and renewable energy projects. The focus is on municipal buildings, especially the school system, through the management of existing systems and the installation of alternative technologies. The position is linked to the City of Amesbury’s recent designation as a Green Community through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
