Co Founder and Inaugural President of the DPM Association of Chicago. The Association operated as a Non Profit Organization formed to benefit its membership of over 50 proprietary trading firms that operated as Designated Primary Market Makers on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. The DPM Association represented all of those individual member firms and the hundreds of the employees employed by those member firms. As a group the association was dedicated to the success of the overall Options Industry and in particular the market share of business being conducted on the trading floor of the CBOE. Fulfilling that commitment the Association marketed, negotiated, and designed procedures and policy throughout the Options Industry to further garner business for the benefit of the CBOE and it's members. The Association furthered the competitiveness of the CBOE to excel and extend its effectiveness as the highest volume and most well respected options exchange in the world.

Trademark Financial Group was formed by Thomas Bartlett in 1999. The firm operated as a designated primary market maker on the trading floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. The entity was responsible for making markets and providing liquidity in over 50 listed option classes including Intel, Williams Sonoma, Boston Market to name a few. As a member firm of the CBOE Trademark Financial Group also traded a multitude of structured products and sector indices. TFG was considered one of the most respected DPM firms operating on the floor of the CBOE and was later sold in July of 2001 to a large international trading operation.

OTA was a New York based trading operation specializing in derivative trading and risk arbitrage. Thomas Bartlett was one of 6 original partners and assumed responsibility for firms trading floor operation throughout his nearly 18 year career with OTA. During that time he also served on numerous CBOE committees and spent several years in the role of Committee Chairperson of both the Exemption Committee and the Product Development Committee. During that timeframe a multitude of new derivative products were developed by the committees including the VIX, the CBOE Volatility Index. Extensive work by that Committee helped that product to its eventful success as one of the most successful and actively traded products in today's marketplace
