Thomas M. Bartoo, AIA, NCARB is the founder and President of Method Architecture, a local, comprehensive design firm, providing innovative and cost effective solutions to a diverse client base. Though his experience is extensive and varied in building projects such as hotels, industrial facilities, residential design educational facilities, medical offices, and religious facilities, Mr. Bartoo’s expertise lies in the design of corporate offices, high-rise residential and commercial property, retail facilities and restaurants. Mr. Bartoo’s Chattanooga projects include Bridgeview on Northshore, a residential and retail mid-rise building located in the city’s Northshore district, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers, FoodWorks, Boathouse Rotisserie and Raw Bar, Sugar’s Ribs Downtown, and MacAuthority located at Hamilton Place Mall. Curently, Mr. Bartoo is registered and licensed architect in twelve states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Minnesota, New Mexico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah.Mr. Bartoo began his career in the summer of 1986 as an intern with an architectural firm in Chattanooga, Tennessee. While advancing through the curriculum at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UTK) College of Architecture, Mr. Bartoo worked with various firms and furthered his understanding of the profession by working as a laborer in the construction field. In 1995, after completing a five-year architecture program and four years of internships, Mr. Bartoo passed the architectural registration exam and officially started his professional practice as recognized by the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB).
