In my first apprenticeship I studied photography and graphic design and worked for 2 years as a photographer in Munich.But I decided to take a different path and trained as a chef.Working many years in the restaurant business in Munich and Berlin, I completed a correspondence course in business administration, got my degree and started working as F&B buyer for Accor Purchasing Solutions GmbH in Munich.My main tasks were to look after the hotels in Germany and to maintain the supplier base, Contract negotiations, contract drafts, product search and quality assurance of these products.7 years later, I took the next step and moved to Hamburg as Purchasing Manager of the Block Group.Here I was responsible for implementing the synergies and possible purchasing strategies of the company.Starting in 2012, I oversaw the central purchasing department at Hotello Objektausstattungen GmbH, based in Bad Arolsen.This company acts as a purchasing platform for Ramada and Treff Hotels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.In November 2013, I was able to take on the position of Area Director Procurement for Central Europe at the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, now renamed the Radisson Hotel Group.Based in Frankfurt/ Main, I managed the strategic procurement of Radisson Blu Hotels and Park Inn by Radisson Hotels in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania.As of June 2019, I decided to take on a new challenge at Marriott, based in Eschborn near Frankfurt/ Main.In my new role as Director Procurement Field Operations Europe, I coordinate the procurement managers of the individual countries in the European cluster.I have extensive know-how in all areas of procurement, as well as an enormous national and international supplier network.
