• Report on a variety of athletics programs including hockey, basketball, soccer, rugby, track and field and swimming • Covered the 2020 UPEI Panthers women’s basketball AUS championship and U SPORTS bronze medal run, with stories that consistently hit over 1,000-plus likes• Built awareness and recognition of sports programs that resulted in a record-setting capacity crowd of 1,372 fans for Game 2 of the 2016 men’s hockey quarter-finals against the Acadia Axemen• Articles and stories published receive a high level of readership and drive traffic to the website and social media accounts; one example is my 2018 Bell’s Let’s Talk story that reached over 5,400 people on Facebook, while also generating 113 re-tweets and 70 Twitter likes• First to live-tweet game coverage of hockey, basketball, soccer and rugby • Developed a social media strategy that includes tagging UPEI athletes featured in stories and encouraging them to share within their social media network and using graphics, emojis and GIFs to keep content fresh, fun, and engaging• Responsible for the creation of the "Athlete of the Week" and "Highlights of the Week" video series• Revamped "Highlights of the Week" to a top-5 format that better suits social media platforms• Created the “Panther Spotlight” series – a monthly human interest feature highlighting one of UPEI's athletes• Covered the 2019 U SPORTS Women’s Hockey Championships (hosted by UPEI) and the 2018 U SPORTS Men’s Final 8 Basketball Championships (hosted by Acadia University) for the U SPORTS website

• During the the 2017 and 2018 offseasons, I turned generic player signing releases into stories with excitement and personality. Those stories were later picked up by the local newspaper – The Guardian.• Researched and interviewed players to give stories more depth and meaning

• Provided volunteer news coverage for the Holland College Football Club during the 2013, 2015 and 2016 Atlantic Football League (AFL) seasons, two of which were championship seasons (2013 and 2015)• Created a video promoting the 2015 Atlantic Football League championship game that generated over 2,800 views on Facebook in just two days (700+ views in the first hours)
