Thomas Becker is a member of the firm’s Technology and Board & CEO Sectors. Previously, he was country manager for the firm’s German operations. Currently, he conducts senior executive and board of director searches for major global organizations. He specializes in software, digital transformation, professional services, telecommunications, and CIO/CTO placements. He has completed numerous high-profile searches for CEOs, CFOs and CDOs (cross-industry) and other top executive management and non-executive director positions for world-leading corporations and private equity and venture capital companies.Thomas' recent assignments had him closely cooperating with management of global and domestic technology companies. He recruited CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, CIOs, partners in the consulting industry, and sales and marketing leaders. Thomas has been managing the company's global client relationship with two world leading technology companies for several years.Prior to joining the firm in 1996, Thomas spent 12 years at IBM. During that time, he held various sales and marketing management positions, including branch manager, financial services in Frankfurt, and director of IBM Deutschland. In those roles, Thomas had national and international responsibility for major financial services clients.Thomas is a member of various advisory boards, board and founding member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants' (AESC) in Germany and member of nonprofit organizations. Thomas studied economics and computer science in Darmstadt and Mainz and graduated as Diplom-Betriebswirt. He is fluent in German and English.
