Software engineer / health care consultant responsible for working with internal clients to identify their analytical needs, advise/consult using existing data/tools, and build new systems/tools where needed. Managed two other analysts, and collaborated extensively within and outside of the Medical Informatics Department (with actuarial, network partners, executive leadership, and IT).On the consulting side, I used health care analytics to advise senior executives on strategic and operational decisions. One example was applying social network analytics to health care provider networks; my work in this area was selected for presentation at the Blue Cross Blue Shield 2015 National Association Summit. On the engineering side, I was a lead architect and engineer for data and software architecture enabling internal analytics: 1) extraction of raw claim line data from transactional database images,2) transformation of data into meaningful medical event and population health records, 3) design of analytical applications (for topics such as utilization reporting and fraud waste and abuse detection)4) design of front-end reporting and data visualization applications.This analytical stack utilized sql, python and SAS on the back-end, and javascript (d3.js, AngularJS, etc.) on the front-end.

HR strategy consulting with HR and line executives at Fortune 1000 companies, with a focus on using quantitative analytics to inform workforce management decisions. Areas of focus: employment brand marketing strategy, HR-line business partnership, and benefits design. Managed 1 analyst.

Led teams of 1-3 analysts conducting quantitative research on employee benefit designs, health and wellness strategies, and actuarial modeling of wellness ROI. Analytical methods included conjoint analysis, regression analysis, principal component analysis, and structural equation modeling.
