Electrical Systems Engineer
Provide electrical engineering support at the IBM facility operations center in Boulder, Colorado. Provide electrical engineering with experience in mission critical control data center electrical infrastructure, critical system support and facility power systems. I am familiar IEEE standards, IEC, NEC, NFPA 820, NESC, NFPA codes, ANSI, NEMA, NETA, and API requirements. Responsibilities included: developing technical scopes for design and construction projects, validating operating switches procedures and maintenance accordance to best practices, developing smarter data center technology with emphasis on reliability and energy conservation, electrical infrastructure replacement planning, coordinating vendor performed preventive maintenance, developing scopes of work and estimates for projects that are designed and constructed by outside suppliers, ensuring best practice compliance for data centers. I have proven ability to enforce all safety procedures; PPE, lockout/ tag out, NFPA 70E, confined space, fall protection and ladder safety. I also have a good understanding of CMMS. I am well-versed in typical datacenter critical systems and engineering functions such as UPS, Rectifiers, Inverters, PDU, Generators, High Voltage Systems (13.8 kV, 4.16 kV, 2.4kV, and 480 volt), 480 volt motor control centers, 480 volt unit substations, Chillers, and DC Plant Systems (chargers and batteries). Managed site 480 volt standby diesel generators and transfer switches. The Boulder facility covers 470 acres and includes 2.5 million square feet of buildings with five large data centers, five chiller plants, call centers, offices and external tenants
