Being part of such a small team there's little that falls outside my remit... so in addition to my responsibilities selling (face-to-face, email and on the phone), I share control of Sales, Marketing (we do all our own in-house), Operations, that is when I'm not working on new projects and developing what we do as a business; currently GSA/CSA work, freelance sales selling airlines and European FTL roadfreight, wholesale airfreight, express courier, managing our European GSA network, chartering aircraft, and a few secret projects yet to be released...'Variety is the spice of life' as they say...well that's part of the reason I joined Cargonet and I'm glad I did. We (Cargonet) do a lot so there's no shying away - you just do it all! It's a good thing I'm adaptable!

Mostly internal sales in the EXTREMELY busy Qatar Airways LHR office, regularly quoting more than 50 shipments a day and securing business sourced by the external reps and e-mail marketing (which material I was responsible for producing myself).Regular switches of focus from yield to tonnage to destination or region and back again made for a busy life and the requirement to have the right contacts available and always ready to work with you.

Res/Ops/Sales...you name it, I did it. Most of the sales responsibilities in this role were internal so restricted to e-mail and phone, but I got deeply involved in all airlines I was dealing with taking part in the strategic planning for tonnage and revenue growth too...

I built a cargo department for Bellview from the bottom up, from creating an AWB stock from scratch to overseeing warehouse build, to managing supplier contracts, to accounting, to statistics, to sales meetings, the list went on and on... the Nigerian market is great fun!

Managing a team of 10, from school leavers to nearly retirees and working with warehouseman, drivers, office bods and a plethora of customers and suppliers...a LOT of middle-man liaison. I wrote procedures and formulated work-flows for the busy handled-carriers section, responsible for cargo handling fulfilment for up to 15 international airlines based within a busy cargo-handling shed at LHR.
