Structures were a combination of standalone and bridge widening including stitch pour connections to existing. Responsibilities included review of design, management of engineers to complete construction, major contract preparation and subcontractor selection, temporary works requirements for the bridges, monthly costs forecasting and reporting, review and implementation of traffic management plans, stakeholder relations during construction, demolition sequence, construction staging and programming of the works. All works completed with a high emphasis on safety during design and construction. -

Project included all aspects of bridge construction from initial piling works through to pre-cast bridge beams and deck construction including ‘stitch’ pours between existing and new structure. Responsibilities included short and long term planning, sub-contractor management and selection, cost control and forecasting, construction and material Q.A., productivity and record keeping, planning of traffic management requirements for associated works. Once widening works complete I was responsible for new medium barrier works and bridge deck strengthening works to the existing bridge.
