Software EngineerCae Usa Aug 2010 - May 2011- Created in C++ a plug-in for TerraVista GIS to generate terrain and static models for the VBS2 combat simulation engine based on a correlated master terrain database.- Complex project involved producing several different outputs (elevation, satellite imagery, surface details, terrain features, and static models) which are combined into a VBS2 map.- Guided the team in the design of the plug-in, and was in charge of the overall framework design, implementation, and integration.- Interacted with supplier of VBS2 SDK to guide its development to suit our project's needs.- Team was first to be trained in and use the Team Software Process from SEI through out the entire project, in preparation for receiving CMMI 3 certification.- Took over design and quality management roles of the project, as well as mentoring the more novice engineers, allowing the team lead to go from 1 task hour per week to 5 (time actually performing project tasks not counting distractions).- Team pioneered the use of consistent code and design reviews and inspections within the engineering group, as well as design processes and iteration re-planning.- Project was completed on time and with only 3 defects remaining after system test. -
Software Engineer IiElecronic Arts-Tiburon Feb 2007 - Jan 2010- Created a new OnDemand news service and client implementation for EA Sports games, providing ESPN, NFL, PGA, and EA content (text, audio, video) to the console; first appeared in NBA Live 2010- Created external media storage (XMS) solution for EA Sports games, which allows console to upload and download video highlights and other content to and from the EA SportsWorld website; first appeared in NCAA Football 2009- Handled integration between game teams and EA SportsWorld website, including creating the console libraries to communicate with the server, including downloading avatar and stats, and uploading game results; first appeared in NCAA Football 2008- Implement new online multiplayer features following design documentation, using Visual C++ and some ActionScript, for Xbox360 and PS3 consoles- Provide support to game teams for existing features- Produce technical briefs and detailed technical design documents to fill out the technical details of a new feature- Generate detailed implementation documentation for game teams
