During the last decade my project, development, design and construction management responsibilities have encompassed the delivery of all project phases including feasibility studies, site development, negotiation of various contract models, facilitating logistics and transport, construction management, site and stakeholder management and the implementation and management of operations and maintenance services. I have a good working knowledge of the Australian National Electricity Rules and have been responsible for development and negotiation of Generator Performance Standards and the successful registration of multiple generators in the National Electricity Market.In my experience, well-handled project procurement can add considerable value and ensure the most successful project outcome. It is crucial for the establishment of effective relationships and directing the team’s focus toward the key project drivers. Appropriate contract selection and management is paramount and my broad experience underpins astute and timely decision-making during this critical phase.
