During my year with Gibson I worked in the corporate headquarters managing the New England territory of independent retailers. In my position, which was mostly inside sales, I did everything from checking credit status to scheduling delivery of product. My major job function was keeping the independent dealers profitable and in competition with big box music retailers such as Guitar Center. I absolutely loved my job but I left Gibson upon signing my publishing contract. I still stay in touch with several of the great people I worked with there.
