During my two years in the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Navy section I spent many days learning the art of boat handling. I attained my Level 2 powerboat license and my VHF radio license at HMS Raleigh. The CCF was a defining part of my GCSE years and the experience that I gained during that time motivated me to become a Prefect during Year 12. In the same year, I completed a 3-week National Citizen Service (NCS) scheme where I developed my team working skills by raising money for a local refugee charity.I am an analytical thinker and I consider this to be extremely beneficial in many aspects of my life. I have achieved excellent A-level grades resulting in an Academic Achievement Scholarship from The University of Sheffield.I enjoy the study of science, particularly the practical uses of chemicals and materials in the modern world. My ambition is to improve humanity’s influence on the environment in a meaningful way.
