Senior Tape Storage ArchitectIbm 1996 - 2009Armonk, New York, Ny, UsProgram-level architect of an Enterprise Virtual Tape Server (TS7700), responsible for the product architecture and high-level design. Was the overall technical product leader for a team of over 150 people in 4 different geographies. The product consisted of a FICON connected pSeries server with hybrid disk and tape devices made to appear as a large array of zOS attached tape drives. The design involved creating a multi-site cluster of coordinated appliances at geographically dispersed distance over IP for high-availability and disaster recovery capabilities.

Programming in C within the OS/2 kernel to provide system control, library robotic operation, and installable file system. Responsible for code control and builds.
