Doctor of Pharmacy and licensed pharmacist (PharmD, RPh), I am passionate in driving pharmacy practice toward its expanding scope. Leading a pharmacy tech startup, PharmAssess Diagnostics Corp, my vision is to evolve & empower the pharmacy profession. PharmAssess promotes transformative practice change by equipping pharmacies with powerful clinical software solutions that enable pharmacists to practice at their full clinical potential. In addition to managing PharmAssess, I work as a clinical pharmacist, where I conduct professional services (medication reviews) for patients. As the former vice-president of UofT's Pharmaceutical Technology & Entrepreneurship Club, and being a member of various business accelerator networks, I learn from industry experts and proactively gain skills to grow PharmAssess. As a result, PharmAssess was nominated and later won the 2022 Global Health & Pharma biotechnology award in digital health. Various other accolades were received from prestigious organizations, including UofT's Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, the Queen's Entrepreneurship Competition, and Hamilton's Innovation Factory. My innovative and entrepreneurial spirit first emerged during my employment at UHN's Krembil Research Institute, where I worked as a drug design research appointee. I modelled blood-brain-barrier penetration of small molecule drugs using machine-learning algorithms, and engineered a proprietary blood-brain-barrier calculator (app available for desktop computers).
