My background includes experience in private sector and government spaces, including 20+ years in the US Army Reserve where I’ve served as Lieutenant Colonel, Judge Advocate, and Associate General Counsel across multiple assignments. During this time, and in between deployments, I held In-House/Corporate Counsel roles at private firms and a Fortune 500 trust company, negotiating and advising on taxation matters and commercial transactions. Since 2012, I’ve acted as Associate Deputy General Counsel, Office of General Counsel, International Affairs for the US DoD. In this capacity, I draft and negotiate high-profile agreements with foreign nations and global entities, including NATO and the EU.
