The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is Responsible for the stewardship of federal Port lands in and around Vancouver, with a mandate to facilitate Canada’s trade objectives, ensuring goods are moved safely while protecting the environment and considering local communities. Reporting to the Deputy Harbour Master I was responsible for Navigation Review within the Port of Vancouver’s Navigational jurisdiction.

Reporting to the Chief Officer, as 2nd Officer I was in charge of navigational watches, guest operations, all safety of the vessel, navigational planning and system updating, crew training and reporting to shore-side management.

Mediterranean

Reporting to the Chief Officer, as Third Officer I was in charge of my own watch preparing for arrivals and departures as well as carrying out onboard planned maintenance. I also spent a lot of time maintaining and detailing the yacht.

North America

Reporting to the Senior First Officer, working in a very large team with a solid Bridge Resource Management system. Always being well presented and personable when dealing with passengers

Studying Nautical Science during college phases. At sea reporting to the training Officer onboard. Sailing square rigged tall ships with mixed ability crew and special modifications to be able to sail with 50% disabled crew onboard. Working on a bulk carrier and oil tanker in which I was required to learn about different grades of cargo and their carriage, loading and unloading requirements.
