• During my time as senior lecturer I was
• supervising and co-supervising PhD, MSc and postgraduate research projects, research assistants and undergraduate research projects,
• supervising laboratories as academic in charge,
• coordinating a synthetic chemistry course,
• giving lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students in inorganic chemistry and materials science, undergraduate students in physical and organic chemistry, postgraduate students in toxicology for chemists,
• providing library training and assistance to fellow academics and students,

• Assessment of commercial opportunities based on VUW research. Work as technical manager and logistic manager for 2 start-up companies:
• Innovative new product and technology development, particularly in materials science - identified opportunities and lead the development of new technologies and products;
• pilot scale project planning and supervision, securing industry and government funding for commercialisation; acting technical director for pilot scale developments;
• writing of business and strategic plans;
• patenting, technology assessment and carrying out freedom to operate searches and investigations;
• developing technology and business models; and

Develop the online resources of the chemistry department of the university.
