Austin Safety Net Works is a coalition of community groups with a mission to prevent violence in Austin by engaging youth in promoting positive norms and values in the community. Funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Austin Safety Net Works provides job opportunities, social-recreational activities and peace education through a network of local organizations.Manager/Lead Coordinator I assisted in the building of community stakeholders, with emphasis on adult and youth leadership I managed fulltime Austin Safety Net Works staff and hired various subcontractors to fund different crime prevention programs within the Austin community I monitored and audited the financial sub-contracting organization partners receiving financial awards through the Illinois Department of Human Services I assisted in leveraging the grassroots power partners (Police, Alderman, Congressman) and existing activists in our communities to achieve different ideologies on curtailing youth violence I assisted in publicizing Austin Safety Net Works programs and youth violence prevention campaign through local media Host semi-monthly organizational meetings for Austin Safety Net Works partners I monitored the progress of the “peace campaign” and the “community violence prevention” program with Austin Safety Net Works members. I receive monthly progress reports of organizing partners to monitor their achieving milestones against the Chicago Police Department’s crime database. Provided technical assistance to all sub-partners Trained and mentored youth organizers in recruitment of other youth for anti-crime programs (anti-bullying, anti-drugs, and anti-gang projects)

Test Manager I coordinated functional activities of system integration testers participating on cross-functional teams for specific Product Development efforts. I managed the testing process from start to finish. ClaimCenter is the industry's first end-to-end, 100% web-based claims system, built from the ground up for the specific requirements of today's claims organization. It is currently in production supporting all lines of commercial and workers' compensation insurers ACT is the financial tool for ClaimCenter I led a team of 5 on system package releases that entail deploying multiple programs within departments within 3 month spans I was responsible for estimating and managing planned hours on all ACT (Mainframe) and Claim Center (Windows, and Java) related projects, I would have the projects completed 80% of the time ahead of schedule, and 20% completed on time with every project coming in under budget. I was responsible for reviewing and approving all requirements and detail design documents; creating test approaches, test scenarios, and test cases for each project I was responsible for all Unit, Integration, System testing (Using Mercury Testing Tools), and all defect tracking (Using PVCS). I assisted the business (user) with the Deployment Readiness testing to ensure sign-off from the user is complete

Pathways Collision Estimator supplies automotive claims and collision repair industries with software, communication systems and wireless enabled technology I was Responsible for the final implementation of CCC products; Pathways Collision Estimator (Windows – Java), Image Library (Mainframe), Data Warehouse (UNIX), QAAR and QPLUS (Windows) I was responsible for leading a team of 6 software testers in reviewing requirements and design documentation from a users perspective, assisting software engineers in the construction of unit tests, integration tests, end to end tests; preparing/conducting test loads, test runs, stress tests, logging all defects, and reporting the results, ensuring an acceptable plan that is cost effective and functional I was able to train, monitor, and mentor employees on the SDLC process and other QA Methodologies I was responsible for producing test approach, and test scenario template that could be used as a baseline for future projects.

I was responsible for training and mentoring 4 QA testers and 4 accountants in conveying Quality Assurance concepts and techniques. I was the liaison between QA and Development to ensure that all processes and applications were functioning in a timely matter.
