I am Tom Brader, a playful character and I don't like to take life too seriously, in this way I allow my work to be free flowing and natural, whilst still working to a brief. I am an avid rock climber and slackliner and I bring the relationship with the rock and the commitment to my personal goals as a climber in to my art & design life, giving me direction and allowing me to meet goals. I studied at DeMontfort University doing Interior Design, where I excelled and secured my love for model making in the physical environment. For me; real and tangible design is what it is all about. i have learned technical skills and CAD skills, however I prefer to work more hand-on. I do what I do because I enjoy it. I don't do Interior Design, I don't class myself as a designer. I class myself as a creative, and try to push boundaries, trying not to stick to the status quo. As shown in my physical work and also the Urban Climbing scene which I am pushing from Leicester, I will always try something new. Since a very young age, I have been practical and hands-on, playing a multitude of sports, and spending spare time in my father's workshop, setting up a 'cricket bat manufacturing business' and inventing a two-man skateboard by the age of 8. From then, it is my love for musical theatre that got me interested in set design more so, which just hammered home the idea of tangible design. Hard work, dedication, sleepless nights, but most of all; a great big smile and lots of fun. That's how everyone becomes who they want to be;I have goals and I do everything to make them happen
