I am the Principal of The Brady Studio, PC, a small architectural firm in Bernardsville, NJ, and a professional corporation since 1992.I am also a former Lecturer in Architecture at University of Colorado Boulder with an informative and practical approach to teaching architecture. I am effective at integrating design, construction, and project management experiences into enjoyable aspects of studio projects. I first obtained a Bachelor of Environmental Design (four-year architecture degree) from Texas A&M University. This is a very well-recognized program with excellent design studios and strong civil and structural engineering and construction management practices. I then obtained a Master of Architecture from University of Colorado. This is an excellent program well known for design and for integrating architecture into cities. My thesis title was: “Platte River Place: Designing for the Attraction of People." The design included walkways, bike paths, terraces, plazas, a skating rink, a natural amphitheater, restaurants, offices, and specialty shops. I am a registered architect in New Jersey and hold an NCARB license where I can be licensed in all 50 states. I am also a professional engineer in New Jersey. It is very unique to have both licenses and allows me to apply my knowledge and experiences officially.Prior to my Lecturer in Architecture position at University of Colorado Boulder, most of my career was in the Corporate Real Estate Department at Bell Labs where I recently retired on my own to pursue my active architecture practice full-time again. Besides teaching, I am focusing my work now on the design and construction of unique buildings, fine country homes, lake houses, mountain cabins, Shingle style homes, and grand estates blended into the landscape.I have excellent architectural design skills including listening to and following through on the goals from the owner of the project. I also have the related project management and budget control skills, and a strong engineering background, that are required for the project.
