I surveyed, marked out, and designed the layout of a new community that will eventually bolster one hundred and forty custom homes, three kilometers of new road, and a park. As well as starting the development of this new community, I also created floorplans and three-dimensional elevations of custom homes that are currently being built in the existing community using AutoCAD and Revit. Along the way, I worked with and learned from general contractors, environmental engineers, urban planning lawyers, and architects. This included visits to San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, to present my community design and obtain governmental building permits as well as environmental permits. All in all, this eight-week experience was a rewarding challenge and I'm excited to see my designs come to life in the future! I'm also excited to use the knowledge this amazing opportunity has afforded me back in the United States.
