As the saw operator, I was responsible for tracking any and all material for work orders to their designated locations before and after sawing if any cutting is required for the material. Cutting materials anywhere from 1/2 an inch to 16 inches in diameter as well as preparing any chrome material to be cutting which involves heating up said chrome if it is hard chrome and cooling it down prior to cutting to the required lengths. Once the material has been cut, I ensured and performed any cutting on work order parts so they may be worked on by the shop's machinists. A side duty of my position was also to cut materials to length for the other shops within the warehouse such as weld shop needing steel for them to make new welding tables to be used within the weld shop.
