BU ABZ, Export - Energy & Project Solutions- Member of the team looking after Key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, helping to develop organic growth- Liaise with customers, suppliers, airlines, trucking companies and shipping lines to ensure successful move of shipments- Interface with cargo vendors including call forward of equipment for shipments- Arrange booking of cargo with carriers, internal service providers and agents in all modes to ensure timely movement of goods- Issue all necessary documentation for shipping, including customs declarations- Work closely with overseas counterparts for successful movement of goods- Update tracking system as required and ensure eFile is up to date- Handle invoice queries with subcontractors and customers- Ensure client satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and ad-hoc requirements- Guarantee each individual shipment is arranged in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements as requested by Panalpina standards- Work to effectively manage risk and maximize financial return with each shipment- Provide ad-hoc quotations for all varieties of shipments (charter, oversize, express)- Negotiate with subcontractors about rates and services- Review job costing and shipping run (SAP) to ensure profits are recorded correctly- Customer service and document processing, including 24/7 on-call service

BU HAM, Airfreight Export- Customer service and document processing- Special account management, main contact for a wide range of customer requests, comprising of ad-hoc quotations including: charter, express and oversize shipments- Order processing including, related documentation, customs clearance as well as control of proper dangerous goods declaration- Invoice handling (incoming as well as outgoing) and a variety of queries- Communications with clients by telephone and through face to face meetings

Gateway FRA, Airfreight OPS Outbound- Issue the documentation of load guides, MAWB’s, manifests and customs- Handle queries with warehouse for a smooth process in order to meet deadlines- Update airlines continuously about final cargo details for correct movement- Review customs and transit documents- Manage stock of ULD’s, special equipment, PanCar(e)tainer as well as related documentation- Support the capacity management team in peak seasons

Air & Sea Import- Process import documents and issue related customs declaration, including de-consolidation of airfreight ULD shipments in customs and internal system- Special account management, main contact for any customer request- Handle invoices (incoming as well as outgoing) and queries- Arrange forwarding and deliveries to customers and other offices throughout Europe

Apprenticeship in international freight forwarding and logistics. Theory and actual work experience in dual system, 2 days business school and 3 days at work.
