About Thomas Breckel

As a Veteran with 28 years of military experience and 16 years in emergency management, I have had the opportunity to travel the world, witnessing amazing examples of humanity, the ravages of war, the desperation after disaster, and the jubilation of hope from a helping hand. These experiences have forged my core skillsets as a planner, responder, and agile leader. Over my military service, these skills have resulted in 12 personal decorations for excellence and 38 citations for performance.Since early 2019, I have served as the Director of Clinton County EMA, further honing my expertise in emergency management. However, work is only a fraction of who I am. Giving back to the community is essential to me. Whether as a Scouting leader, a former member of UK search and rescue team, and now working to setup BOX-14, helping others is a significant part of my personal fulfillment. In my free time, I enjoy collecting rare single malt Scotch whisky, shooting, and travel.As I transition from military life, I am excited about the possibilities ahead. I look forward to leveraging my past experiences to continue growing and making a positive impact.
