I am the founder of Consurv Building Ltd based in Monaghan, Ireland. With 35+ years experience, I have devoted the greater part of my life to the property and construction industry. With a Doctorate in Conservation Studies and a Bachelors Degree in Building Surveying, I can maintain and maximise the effectiveness of existing building stock and ensure that proposed buildings meet the appropriate standards.Consurv Building Ltd expertise covers a diverse and unique range of property types in all sectors. Working mainly on retail, industrial and office premises, we also offer expertise on residential developments as well as servicing the needs of clients in the health, leisure and ecclesiastical sectors. Our client base includes international properties, asset and property managers. Consurv roles are as follows: • Liaise with Client, Local Authorities, General Contractor and Design Team in relation to all building projects from, luxury and multi dwelling residential developments, large scale town centre retail and commercial developments, hospitality, educational and commercial building projects. • Liaise with the design team in relation to proposed alternative building recommendations, solutions and cost value engineering• Undertake building inspections for assessment at prescribed stages of construction and providing advice to clients accordingly• Assess defects and determine appropriate technical solutions through researching and engaging with specialists and manufacturers to ensure compliance• Monitor work on site to ensure the general contractor completes to a satisfactory standard complying with client obligations and obtaining warranties and/or guarantees for the works• Developing methods for the non-destructive treatment and protection of historic buildings.
