Chief, National Guard Integration Office
Supervises the National Guard Integration Office (NGIO) and support two National Guard General Officers assigned as advisers to the Commander, NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N&NC). Assist the N&NC Commander and Staff on all matters involving the National Guard (NG). Represents National Guard General Officers at all command meetings in their absence. Maintains close coordination with N&NC Legislative Affairs Office and briefs the Commander, N&NC, on NG topics of interest in prepration for Congressional hearings. Helps build and sustain key relationships between the National Guard Bureau (NGB) and joint/interagency mission partners to improve domestic response capabilities for Homeland Defense (HD) and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) missions. Directs and manages the NGIO staffing activities focusing on prioritizing efforts for effective Staff Integration across all N&NC Directorates. Insures timely coordination on all Command tasking suspenses and requests for information. Responsible for integrating NG joint priorities and capabilities into N&NC plans and operations to include oversight of the ADOS-RC program. Facilitates Action Officer thru General Officer information exchange and coordination between the NGB and N&NC staffs. Insures proper staffing processes are understood and utilized to obtain formal NGB coordination. Responsible for assessing the viability of all AGR/ADOS billets assigned to N&NC providing mission continuity thru timely assignment fills and addressing movements of billets to other directorates when appropriate. Facilitates the day-to-day NGIO staffing integration with N&NC NG assigned personnel as well as the annual NG General Officer training/mentoring meeting with other senior NG leaders working within the N&NC staff. Provides key inputs in managing the careers of 32 ARNG Title 10 AGR Soldiers and 8 ANG Statutory Tour Airmen along with 40 Active Duty Opational Support (ADOS) personnel assigned to N&NC.
Chief, Operations Division
Responsible for the overall success of the Operations Division Staff. Lead a team of senior officers in the management of Theater Security Cooperation, Capabilities Integration, Future Operations Planning, Current Operations execution, Special Operations support/execution, and Force Protection planning/execution. Coordinate ARNG activities with the Combatant Commands, NG/JS, Department of the Army, U.S. Forces Command, Army Service Component Commands, and the States, Territories, and District of Columbia. Responsible for planning, distribution and execution tracking of over $1.5B. Manage the career development and assignment of more than 100 AGR Soldiers worldwide. Advise the DARNG and CNGB on ARNG operational matters.
Chief, Joint Exercise Program (J71)
Responsible for scheduling, resourcing, design, development, planning, coordination, management and execution of 30 exercises annually to include National Level, CJCS and CDR N-NC directed and National Guard VIGILANT GUARD Joint Regional exercises to train the N-NC Battle Staffs and partners. Supervise over 40 joint exercise planning specialists, surging to 800 during exercises, including US and Canadian joint military, non-military, interagency and contractors. Coordinate exercise development, support and execution with the Joint Warfighting Center, Joint Staff, OSD, Services, DoD Components, SOCOM, Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, Health & Human Services and Energy, and international partners. Perform as Senior Controller during command exercises. Coordinate N-NC support to GCC, Federal and State agency exercises including under the National Exercise Program.
Adcs G-7, U.S. Army North
Chief of Training and Readiness at U.S. Army North (Fifth Army), the Army Service Component Command and Joint Force Land Component for U.S. Northern Command. Responsible for the development, coordination, synchronization and execution of Defense Support of Civil Authorities and Homeland Defense training, exercises, and education programs for the command and its subordinate units, including personnel assigned to the Contingency Command Post, two standing Joint Task Forces headquarters, and 10 regional Defense Coordinating Elements, and Department of Defense, Interagency, and National Guard personnel. Responsible for all aspects of human resource management and leadership for 38 military, DA civilian, and contract personnel. Responsible for execution of training and exercise resources in excess of $26 million per year.
Commander, 48Th Brigade Special Troops Battalion
Command a Light Brigade Special Troops Battalion in support of a light infantry brigade. Establish a relevant and ready combat multiplier force of Engineers, Military Intelligence, Communications, Military Police and Chemical specialists; flexible to meet varying mission requirements and capable of executing effective support to a Combatant Commander or Task Force Command for a CONUS or OCONUS mission. Manage training, personnel, logistics, maintenance and recruiting and retention of the battalion. Establish a positive organizational climate of teamwork, trust, cooperation and dedication. Mentor and coach subordinate leaders and staff to successfully accomplish the brigade mission of war fighting as well as the homeland security mission. Provide an effective team to support the National Guard Response Force mission and have them deployable within four hours.
