As a person I believe passionately in the power of sport, the power to inspire, the power to provide hope, the power to build and change communities and peoples lives. I have harnessed the power of sport since I first started playing rugby league when I was 6, and for the last 14 years at the Rugby Football League.I am a champion of inclusion and levelling the playing field, using my energy, drive and creative outlook to give everyone the opportunity to play our sport. Working with and managing amazing teams and people to achieve unprecedented outcomes.Over the last couple of years, I have been at the fore front of bringing the RFL Betfred Women’s Super League, Physical Disability Rugby League and the Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League to life.All these have benefited from innovative thinking and using the power of the brand to create new opportunities for marginalised groups within Rugby League. This had led the BWSL going from playing in parks, to having a blue-chip sponsorship and being live on Sky Sports.We brought physical disability to the UK, which was showcased by Adam hills “take his legs” documentary on channel 4 and will be competing for the inaugural PDRL World Cup in 2021. During the delivery of PDRL, we understood and need to create a brand-new sport and first competition of its kind in Learning disability Super League, which was shortlisted for the “leaders” award in 2019.
