I am a veteran of the United States Navy. My military life allowed me to travel around the world twice and experience more than 15 cultures. During my enlistment, I was awarded several accommodations from admirals, a navy and marine corp medal, and earned perfect evals while in the military for service above my duty. When I left the military, my adventures brought me back to Maryland were I started to work in the field of asphalt were I sampled and measured the density in the asphalt that was used to build new roads, operated and trained others on all machines used for building roads and construction work, and led a crew of 15 workers in day to day activities. While working construction, I started to coach high school wrestling. Working with kids intrigued me so much that I started to attend college to become a teacher while I was still working construction. I had been coaching for 4 years before I started college but while in school, I was a substitute teacher to see if I could work with children in a school setting. This worked out great so now 5 years later, I will graduate the summer of 2018 with my bachelors in behavioral science and am working as an instructional assistant at North Caroline High School.
