Talented EIT certified [Texas Board of Professional Engineers] UNT educated Mechanical Engineer looking for a Texas sized mechanical engineering challenge in the DFW area.Willing to relocate for the right challenge.During my undergraduate years, I was a design and fabrication engineer with the UNT Formula SAE race car team where we developed and competitively raced high speed, low powered and low weight single seat race cars.During my senior year, my senior engineering design project was to build and fly an autonomous fixed-wing cargo drone capable of delivering small medical supplies up to 50 km away. Our 15’ wingspan cargo drone flew and transported more than the required cargo load! This design required theoretical and practical experience merging multiple materials into the design, including wood, metal, composites, and sandwiched materials. Designing and building wings that work and support a plane in flight as predicted is not for the faint of heart. The drone was an original design, built from raw materials.Our senior year project team was awarded the prestigious Faculty Choice Award from the University of North Texas Engineering College.Both projects demanded a highly proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (both Parametric and Direct), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Design (CFD), and other Multiphysics Simulations. I am also experienced SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo, ANSYS, and MATLAB.And I graduated in under 4 years - not the average 6 years most engineers take!
