Project Engineer; working in the semi-conductor industry (NEC, Shin-etsu, Alcatel, and Motorola etc.) Working on high-speed turn around projects and taking them from initial design to installation. Also supply Pharmaceutical companies with technical backup and design for new ranges of product & specialised clean room equipment.

Draughtsman; 3 years; working on food processing equipment such as, crate tippers, bulk feed hoppers, conveyors, elevators, vibrators, frying systems, washing systems, pump sizing, pipework routing, heat exchanger sizing, high temperature filtering systems, support structure calculation and design, access platforms and stairways. Promoted to…Project Engineer; 3 years; responsibilities include, engineering design of food process equipment to customers parameters, site measurements to tie into existing customer equipment and building, supervise manufacture and installation of equipment and services, organise local labour for projects throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and U.S.A. tie in with other sub contractors to make sure projects run smoothly and are completed on time. All this requires line layouts, P&ID’s and PFD’s and a lot of organisation! Ensure equipment meets relevant regulations and specifications with regards to; gas, electrical, water, air, steam supply, exhaust stack emissions, noise regulations, electrical safety specifications, safety issues. As most of the projects involved have been installed outside the U.K. there is quite a lot of red tape to go through with regards to correct paperwork.
