I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with 10 years (7 years post qualified) experience with big-four assurance background. I have been contracting across United Kingdom and New Zealand for the last four years. Over the last nine years in the corporate work force, I have built a varied portfolio of experience and knowledge, split between my Assurance roles at EY and Bakey Tilly Staples Rodway and my contracting roles at Seequent, Hanson Wade and IPI. The former building my core skills and knowledge, providing exposure to a large range of clients, understanding of reporting under different financial standards, and experience of leading an audit team. The latter providing opportunities to significantly improve the month end and year-end financial processes and reporting, allowing further development of accounting standards knowledge and provided significant exposure to the acquisitions, both successful and unsuccessful. I have a diverse background coming from a small rural town with previous experience including working on Sheep, Beef and Chicken farms, labouring for building and electricity companies as well as working night shift at an Aluminum extruding plant. I believe that these experiences and background provides me with a point of difference in the corporate world, specifically being able to communicate and relate to people without a finance background. I have always had a love for sport, music and the outdoors. I have been heavily involved in a variety of sporting teams wherever I have lived, and always keen to help out the work sports team. Additionally, over the years I have had the opportunity and privilege to coach and tutor children in rugby, tennis and math
